How to reorder pages
- Upload your PDF. A thumbnail grid of every page appears, numbered in the current order.
- Drag any thumbnail to a new position. The numbers update live so you can track exactly where each page will land.
- Click the × on a page to drop it entirely. Click Save Reordered PDF when the layout is right.
Common scenarios
- Scanner fed a two-sided document in the wrong order — odd pages first, then even pages.
- You scanned pages out of sequence and need to fix the flow before binding the PDF.
- A report needs its appendix moved from the back to the front as an executive summary.
- You want to drop a single blank page without re-merging the whole document.
Frequently asked
Does reorder re-encode the pages?
No. Pages are copied byte-for-byte into the new order using pdf-lib. Image quality and text sharpness are identical to the original.
Can I swap in pages from a different PDF while reordering?
Not in this tool. Use Insert Pages to bring in pages from another file, then reorder afterwards.
What if I mess up the order?
You can re-upload the original any time — there is no one-way change on our side. We do not cache anything between runs.
Do bookmarks and page links survive reordering?
Bookmarks pointing to specific pages will still point at those page numbers, which may now contain different content. For critical navigation, rebuild bookmarks in your PDF editor after reordering.
Privacy: Everything — thumbnail generation, drag state, final PDF save — runs locally with PDF.js and pdf-lib. No upload. No trace left after you close the tab.
