How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. Upload your PDF. The tool shows the total page count so you know the valid range.
  2. Type the page numbers or ranges you want to delete — for example 1, 3-5, 8 removes pages 1, 3, 4, 5, and 8. Use commas to separate entries and hyphens for ranges.
  3. Click Remove Selected Pages. pdf-lib copies every surviving page into a new document and hands you the download.

Frequently asked

What happens to page numbers after deletion?

The PDF is renumbered starting at 1 for the new first surviving page. If you have printed page numbers (running headers), they will now mismatch — use the Page Numbers tool to re-add them cleanly.

Can I undo if I delete the wrong page?

Re-upload the original and try again. We keep nothing between runs — you always have the pristine source on your device.

Does this modify the source file?

No. The source stays untouched on your disk. The download is a new file with your chosen pages removed.

What if I want to keep only a few pages instead?

Use Split PDF with the range mode — easier when you are keeping fewer pages than you are removing.

Privacy: Page-removal runs locally with pdf-lib. Your document never touches a server. Close the tab and every byte is gone from our side.
