How to merge PDFs in your browser

  1. Drop one or more PDFs into the upload zone above, or click it to browse. Select as many files as you need — there is no hard file-count limit.
  2. Drag the file cards up or down to set the order. The list order is the exact order pages will appear in the final document.
  3. Click Merge PDFs. The tool stitches the files together using pdf-lib and gives you a download link. Nothing leaves your device.

Frequently asked

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

No artificial limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory — a modern phone or laptop handles 50–100 normal PDFs fine. Very large batches (hundreds of files) may slow your browser tab.

Will the merged PDF preserve bookmarks and internal links?

Page content, fonts, and images are preserved. Bookmarks and cross-document links are not carried over — pdf-lib does not merge outline trees. The result is a clean, flat document.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

No — pdf-lib refuses to read encrypted PDFs until they are unlocked. Use our Protect PDF tool to remove the password first, then merge.

Do my files leave my device?

No. This page processes your PDFs inside the browser tab. You can switch to airplane mode and merge will still work.

Privacy: Merging runs entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. No file contents are uploaded to any server. Closing the tab deletes everything.
