How to make a passport photo online

  1. Drop a clear front-on face photo. JPG or PNG. Phone selfies work fine if the lighting is even and the background is plain.
  2. Pick the country / document type. The crop frame snaps to the official mm dimensions and head-height range — India 35×45, US 2×2, UK / Schengen 35×45, plus seven more.
  3. Drag the photo to position your face inside the frame. Use the zoom slider to size the head correctly. Eyes should sit roughly halfway up the frame.
  4. Click Download JPG. The output is rendered at 600 DPI, sized exactly for the chosen country (for example 35×45 mm = 827×1063 px).

Country specs in this version

Ten templates cover the most common passport and visa photo specs in 2026. Each is built from the official government source — the head-height range, background color, and pixel dimensions match what the issuing authority asks for at submission.

Frequently asked

What size is an Indian passport photo?

35×45 mm with a plain white background. ICAO Doc 9303 has been mandatory for India passports since 2025-09-01. Head height 32–36 mm.

What size is a US passport photo?

2×2 inches (51×51 mm) with a plain white or off-white background. Head height 25–35 mm. The US State Department requires the photo to be unaltered — verify with the consulate before submitting.

Can I print these photos at home?

Yes. The output is a 600 DPI JPG sized for the country you picked. Print on photo paper at 35×45 mm or 2×2 inches and you have a gov-ready photo. Most photo studios print 6 copies on a 4×6 inch sheet — use that size at the print shop.

Does AllPDF watermark my photo?

No. AllPDF never watermarks free output — same posture as Adobe Scan and Genius Scan. Your photo is yours.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The crop and export run entirely in your browser. The image bytes never leave your device.

Privacy: The photo is loaded into your browser, cropped on a local canvas, and downloaded as a JPG. Nothing is uploaded.
